Position Reports to: Line Service Manager / Airport Manager
Location: North Iowa Air Service in Charles City
Salary: $15 / hour (negotiable)

Charles City Aeronautics, Inc. d/b/a Central Iowa Air Service and North Iowa Air Service, is currently seeking 1 full-time line service person at the Northeast Iowa Regional Airport in Charles City.

Primary Objective:
• Be the first face of the company as airplanes come into the Northeast Iowa Regional Airport
• Represent the company in a professional manner
• Maintain high level of standards

Essential Job Functions:
• Fuel aircraft using jet fuel / AV gas
• Parking of aircraft / greeting of customers and passengers
• Moving of aircraft using towing equipment and by hand
• Snow removal (using plow equipment and shovels) and lawn maintenance
• Detail aircraft for charter flights
• General janitorial work
• Additional responsibilities as they come up

Requirements of this job include:
• High school diploma or current high school student
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass random drug screening
• Regular lifting of 50 lbs
• Frequent standing, sitting, bending, lifting, pulling, pushing

Responsible for the review and preparation of accounting documents and validations reviewed by or sent to Plant Controller or Corporate (SAHQ).  Executes accounting and analysis activities which may include the Plant’s financial planning, capital and operating expense budgeting or forecast and statistical reporting. On a day-to-day basis, will calculate, process, post, verify, and maintain data for Valero Renewables. 

  • Prepares accounting journals as required for monthly financial close.

  • Assists the Plant Controller to help ensure accurate recording of all plant accounting transactions and effectiveness of internal financial controls.

  • Coordinates with the Plant Controller and Plant Operations with preparation of annual budgeting, financial forecasts, monthly operations stewardship, capital budget tracking and reporting, analysis of variances to plan, in conjunction with financial and operation’s reporting schedule.

  • Completes monthly and quarterly compliance checklist and advises the Plant Controller of any non-compliance issues with recommended controls update.

  • Prepares and maintains monthly Plant KPI’s (i.e. calculation of daily/weekly yields and inventory statistics).

  • Fields local management request for operating expense or capital expenditures.

  • Facilitates state and governmental audits and data gathering as needed, such as for state grain audits, state DOT reviews, FRA and TTB visits or audits.

  • Completes or assists with state and federal governmental reporting obligations

  • Ensures FSMA compliance pertaining to co-product shipments, corn receipts and chemical receipts.

  • Completes denaturant received and invoiced report for usage and quantity verification.

  • Reconciles chemical purchases for usage and quantity verification for each period.

  • Cross-trains on corn receipts and actualization/settlement as well as BDS loading and billing processes.

  • Maintains Project AFE log and reviews AFEs for proper accounting classification for the Plant Controller (i.e. cost tracking for turnaround/capital projects).

  • Supports Turnaround TRACK process – setup, reporting and as assigned.

  • Prepares/reviews, validates, and submits data (e.g. Ethanol and Feed products loaded, daily validation reports, purchase orders, and purchase requisitions) for accurate account or project assignments.

  • Computes daily corn and product volumes for Daily Fleet Report.

  • Follows safety rules and procedures as set forth by the company.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or GED required.  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.

  • CPA or MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience required.

  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing or grains handling environment preferred.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Outlook, Word, and Excel) required.

  • Able and willing to work on-site and in-person, required.

Instrumentation & Electrician Technician – Ethanol Plant-250011X

Responsible for the repair and maintenance of the plant equipment, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.

  • Participates in plant maintenance program.

  • Repairs or replaces plant equipment or systems on a scheduled or emergency basis.

  • Performs preventative maintenance activities as required.

  • Participates in safe work permit and lock out tag out programs.

  • Interacts directly with operations and shipping & receiving departments to ensure scheduled work can be completed.

  • Assists with diagnosing and trouble-shooting maintenance related issues.

  • Assists with new installations and other projects, as requested by the supervisor.

  • Monitors reliability of equipment.

  • Works with engineering department and external contractors to plan and implement installation of new equipment or systems.

  • Knows and understands city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to maintenance and plant equipment, and work in a safe manner to ensure that these regulations are met at all times.

  • Works a schedule that occasionally requires overtime or call-in as required.

  • Participates in plant turnarounds.

  • Participates in programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.

  • Participates in Health, Safety and Environmental programs.

  • Assists Corporate Network / IT department as needed.

  • Completes work orders as assigned.

This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications

 

 High school diploma or GED required.   

  • Minimum of two years of experience in electrical or instrumentation maintenance and repair or associates degree (or higher) in a related field required.

  • Journeyman license preferred.

  • ISA certification preferred.

  • Programmable logic controller / Distributed control system (PLC/DCS) troubleshooting/programming experience preferred.   

  • Able and willing to work on-site and in-person, required.
