Project Sourcing Specialist:
The principle purpose of the Project Sourcing Specialist at Cambrex Charles City, Inc. is to serve as the liaison between Cambrex and vendors with a goal of sourcing quality products from qualified suppliers, meeting projects timelines while contributing to cost savings initiatives and project margin management. REQUIREMENTS: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree. • 4-6 years procurement experience in a manufacturing environment • 2-4 years Chemical/ Pharmaceutical and cGMP manufacturing experience preferred • Strong oral and written communication skills with proven ability to successfully negotiate pricing and terms with vendors • Detail oriented, analytical, organized and objective in a fast paced environment • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel, Word and SAP systems.
Data Review Scientist I:
The Data Review Scientist will be responsible for reviewing laboratory data and supporting documentation to ensure that they are compliant with SOPs, and compendial and CGMP requirements. This individual must have knowledge of instrument theory in order to thoroughly vet and review data and draw conclusions based on collected data. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry with three years’ experience in a pharmaceutical and cGMP environment highly preferred • Experience in a laboratory environment highly preferred • Knowledge of analytical instrumentation (GC, HPLC, FTIR, UV-VIS, etc.) required • Strong chemistry knowledge with proven ability to handle various project loads is beneficial.
Analytical Development Principal Scientist I
Development and validation of analytical methods for in process, finished goods, and stability products.• Assigning tasks and determining direction of analytical project team. - Mentoring, training, and tutoring of co-workers.• Writing and review of departmental analytical methods and internal SOP’s.• Analytical lead for customer project team. • Trainer and overseer for method transfer to Quality Control and Process Support Group • Adherence to all EPA, FDA, cGMP, cGLP DEA regulations and internal SOP’s • Review and interpretation of analytical results and documentation in project notebooks • Revalidation of analytical methods for updated target ranges. • Preparation and handling of highly potent and toxic compounds. • Secondary reviewer of laboratory notebooks, analytical records, and stability data. • Participation in internal/external laboratory audits • Inventory of department-controlled substances • Department representative for customer and internal review groups.
• Laboratory testing of manufactured products via HPLC, GC, LC/MS, NMR, UV-Vis, FT-IR, TOC, TGA, AA instruments utilizing Empower, LabX, and other instrument specific softwares. • Coordination of analytical testing and method development by off-site service providers. REQUIREMENTS: PhD with 6 yrs (min) or MS with 10 yrs or BS with 14 yrs.
Senior Scientist III – Analytical Development
The Senior Scientist III will provide technical support for multiple project teams. This individual will evaluate and interpret analytical results, develop, validate and transfer analytical methods for APIs, API intermediates and raw materials. Strict compliance with cGMP guidelines is required to perform most job tasks. REQUIREMENTS: Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field with minimum 4 years of experience or M.S. in Chemistry or related field with minimum 8 years of experience or B.S. degree in Chemistry or related field with 12 years of experience in lab environment, pharmaceutical experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication/interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a diverse team environment are essential.
