Pure Prairie Poultry Expansion in Charles City, IA

Progress continues on the Pure Prairie Poultry expansion project on North Main Street in Charles City, according to an update at the Charles City Area Development Corp. meeting in October.

CCADC Executive Director Tim Fox said he had a report from Brian Roelofs, the president and CEO of Pure Prairie, that the updated production and packaging as well as the warehouse and distribution addition are expected to be ready in October.

According to their website, Pure Prairie Poultry offer chicken from Pure Farms which:

•  “Owned and Grown Together” means our farmers have an ownership stake in Pure Prairie Poultry

•  Raised by career farmers in Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota who know chicken

•  We support and encourage sustainable farming practices
