of partnership and a "can do" attitude that are part
and parcel to the Charles City business climate and community
culture. When you need business assistance, reach out to Charles
City.

Community Revitalization "Main
Street" Program
In 1994, Charles City became the 29th community in the state to join the Iowa
"Main Street" program with the creation of the "Charles City
Community Revitalization" program - an effort initiated by a council of
community, business and local government leaders with the goal of revitalizing
and enhancing the overall business climate in Charles City. That effort was
reaffirmed in 1996 with the announcement that Charles City had been accepted
as a "demonstration community," and thereby eligible for a wide range
of Main Street Iowa services and support.
The Community Revitalization program
incorporates the Main Street four-point approach of Organization,
Promotion, Design and Business Improvement to promote community
spirit, economic growth and enhance the overall business climate
in Charles City.
Anyone interested in more information about the Charles City Main Street program is encouraged to contact the Community Revitalization office, 401 North Main Street, (641) 228-2335, fax (641) 228-4744, E-mail: info@charlescitychamber.com
